Since we ride fat skis, my telebuddies and me always feel like all telebindings have a weak interface on broad skis. You feel it on hard grounds as well as in deep powder… the Telemark binding market offers a lot of different bindings (all with different hole schemata) and some even with a second base plate to mount on an other ski… after a few beers and some Bob Marley candles we started to produce the solution for our own thing…
This binding base plate offers you the mounting of almost all kind of telemark bindings to your skis no matter of 75mm beacons or NTN/low tech. Since this winter 2017/18 we have two versions of the plate because there is not enough material left for one plate with all templates on it… you will find a list of the relevant bindings in the tech details of this website… of course the 75mm version and the NTN/low tech versions are interchangeable from ski to ski without additional drilling
The mounting allows the correct set up of every pin line of the bindings. It creates a small power square which is realized through the central fixation with the additioal side fixations. Your ski will react exactly for what he has build for… If you want to ski another binding on the same ski, just release the four ski screws, set it (the pinline) new, appropriate to the other brand and tighten the screws again (use some fresh wood glue).
The width of 57mm for outer plate fixation has a direct effect and short way to the 80 mm width of the base plate. You feel the reinforced interface of ski boot, ski binding and skis as much better ski control in general and more edge pressure in certain moments… Another advantage of the Telemark Plate is the concept of a 2nd ski kit. Mount the base plates on another ski and change your binding (needs only one binding for two pair of skis) in minutes. How good is this for rental shops… The inox cylindrical threats guarantees a solid connection of binding and plate and you will never have screws teared out of the skis again. The heel plate is constructed to work with every screw distance of the different heel peaces.
Seit es fette Skis gibt, haben meine Telebuddies und ich immer das Gefühl, dass die Telemark Bindungen zu wenig breit sind, um eine direkte Skiführung auch bei über 110 mm breiten Ski zu gewährleisten… die grosse Bindungsauswahl auf dem Markt (einige auch mit zusätzlichen Grundplatten für eine Montage auf einem 2. Paar Ski) mit verschiedenen Lochbildern, hat dann zur Idee einer universell verwendbaren Grundplatte geführt. Seit diesem Winter 2017/18 gibt es die Platte in zwei verschiedenen Versionen. Eine für die meisten 75mm Bindungen und eine für die neuen NTN/low tech Bindungen… die Platten können natürlich untereinander ausgetauscht werden ohne neu bohren zu müssen…
Die kleine Montagegrundfläche von 45 x 45 mm ergibt ein kleines Kräfteviereck, welches den Ski optimal flexen lässt und damit jede Skicharakteristik unterstützt. Will man eine andere Bindung fahren, müssen keine neuen Löcher auf dem Ski angebracht werden. Einfach Schrauben lösen, Pinline entsprechend verschieben und Schrauben wieder festziehen.
Die Befestigungsbreite der äusseren Bohrlöcher an der Bindungsplatte beträgt 57 mm und wirkt damit direkt auf die gesamte Plattenbreite von 80mm. Der Effekt verstärkt das Interface von Schuh, Bindung und Breitski gewaltig und bewirkt eine deutlich verbesserte Skiführung und eine spürbare Druckverstärkung auf der Kante.
Ein weiterer Vorteil der Bindungs Grundplatte ist das Konzept des 2nd Ski Kits. Montiert man ein zweites Set Grundplatten auf einem anderen Ski, kann mit der gleichen Bindung verschiedene Skis gefahren werden. Praktisch für jeden Telemarker mit verschiedenen Skis und sowieso für einen Shop mit Vermietung. Die schnelle Befestigung der Bindungen auf der Platte ermöglicht das Wechseln auf verschiedene Skis in Minutenschnelle. Die rostfreien, zylindrischen Stahlschrauben garantieren eine solide und feste Verbindung von Platte und Bindung und wirken durch ihre Befestigungsanordnung dem Ausreissen von Bindungsschrauben entgegen. Das Fersenteil ist so konstruiert, dass damit mehrere Schuhgrössen eine ideale Abstützung erhalten, auch wieder ohne dass neu gebohrt werden muss…
